Play is serious business at this award-winning children's museum, celebrating its 15th Birthday of "Playing it Forward" in March 2015! Nestled in Norwalk's historic Mathews Park, Stepping Stones Museum for Children opens your child's world to a lifelong love of learning. It is fun for your children (ages Birth to 10) and also for parents, grandparents, aunts and
uncles, as you see the children's expressions of wonder, creating special memories for the whole family.

Grab an expressions sheet and explore your feelings in the Express Yourself exhibit about social and emotional learning. Act out your feelings on camera in a TV studio. Become part of a video game where you appear or disappear magically on-screen. Explore how creating artwork, music or dance moves can lift your mood. You'll leave this exhibit feeling empowered and more in tune with yourself and others.

Energy Lab®, voted the fan-favorite on Election Day, features hands-on,kid-powered fun. You can explore the waterfalls, funnels and water wheels, wind tunnel, or cranks, levers, air tubes and blowers which set balls and objects into motion, teaching you about energy and its sources.

In Build It!, put on construction clothes and finish walls, apply carpeting, wallpaper or shingles, or make an arch with blocks.

Even the museum's youngest visitors have a place just for them. Inspired by the latest early childhood development research, Tot Town® sparks curiosity, fosters early learning and promotes literacy for children up to 3 years old. Whether it's singing along with classic childhood rhymes, gazing at our new special aquarium or interacting with familiar objects, spending quality time in this imaginative space is a great way for infants, toddlers and their families to play and learn together.

Stepping Stones also features play-based learning and family fun with changing experiences in the Traveling Exhibit Gallery, the year-round tented open-air Celebration Courtyard, the state-of-the-art multimedia theater, the lush community flower and vegetable gardens and the ever-popular Solar Express train taking riders on a scenic tour of beautiful Mathews Park.

There are daily programs, engaging workshops, special events, a cafe and the Age of Reason gift shop, which features interactive toys and games and so much more! Don't forget your camera!
